I'm betting on speedball, but I will hope for the best, Since it's in my neck of the woods, I volunteer to be the one to do a drive-by and check out the construction phase, I'll post up with anything I can find out, get back to ya with more details. _________________ " You cannot kill what you did not create"

well, it's funny you should say Oh-Tay, because thats how I say it, even though I know it's pronounced Oh-Tie, There is a back story to this, ask me and I'll be glad to share it. but because of the story and the way it's spelt, I say OOOOO-TAAAAAY panky. I'm gonna go by and check it out today. _________________ " You cannot kill what you did not create"

Ok, camera and report I can do, I don't have a GPS or any idea how to do a topographic map, will satellite imagery do? I'll head over there after I hack in to the Nasa computer network and get the sat. into position. Thats the best I can do sorry. _________________ " You cannot kill what you did not create"

Careful; don't mention that stuff in the public forums.. It may get us in trouble!
As for topos.. Google maps (maps.google.com) has topo data now. go to where you want and on the top select Map, then more.. then Terrain.
Topo stuff It's not in google earth yet I'm sure it will be soon.
Looking at this area; looks like it's an old farm field and is fairly flat. Hope they put in lots of "features" since the natural terrain won't be doing anything for us...

Wow, thats exactly what I saw when I went up on Sunday, I just didnt think it warranted taking pics of. I was just gonna say that progress hasnt progressed much and theres nothing to see except some rolling hills and tall grass, it still looked like that on Sunday. the field sits up on top of a small plateau, so you can't really see anything from the street, you have to stop and go up to see anything. It wouldnt shock me if this field turns out to be some of those inflatables like the ones used at a couple of the bases in the area. Or that the whole thing has been halted by the Chula Vista city council. Well, I'll make trips up there as we get closer to Sept. 1 and keep ya'll posted. Oh, I was just kidding about the hacking thing, I wouldnt know nor do i wanna know how to hack anything anywhere, things I say on this forum should generally be taken in jest(hence the name). Hows that for a disclaimer Tommy, lol _________________ " You cannot kill what you did not create"

I havent been back up to Otay to check out the progress on this field , but judging by the wording on their website it sounds like a airball field or fields, no pics yet but check out their link again they have updated it and they use the word ARENA, so, use your best guess as to what that means. I'll try to get up there and put eyes on it. _________________ " You cannot kill what you did not create"
