SoCal Ghosts Host Blood Diamond III @ Giant Alpine

Mark you calendars! March 6 & 7, 2010, the SoCal Ghosts host Blood Diamond III - the Infinite Prism at Giant Alpine. This event is sponsored by Giant Paintball and Save Phace, the world's sickest tactical mask!

In the 3rd installment of this series the game takes a twist, this time there are no good guys in the battle for the valuable diamond known as the Infinite Prism.

The hunt for fame and glory is on! Will you side with the bloody revolutionaries of the RUF or the cutthroat mercenaries of Executive Results? Will you help Archer locate his brother or use him to get the Infinite Prism for yourself? There are no good guys when greed and riches are the only objectives.

Check out the scenario discussion thread in our forums for more info & keep your eyes peeled for the commercial on the internet near you!

Welcome To Our 2 New Ghosts in July...

As team captain I get the honor of announcing our newest team members as each one makes it through the process of membership. Their sponsors have done an excellent job finding our new teammates, so without further adieu, here they are:

Busterdude, aka Justin, first impressed the team with his medic skills at Road Warriors I earlier this year. He's been playing with us ever since and has even helped ref Castlemania back on July 12th. A solid player, full of hustle, loves the game and plays with honor (the perfect Ghost!) - Welcome Busterdude!

Grant, son of Robotech and in need of a callsign, joins the ranks of the junior Ghosts contingent. He loves being out on the field with his dad and the rest of the Ghosts and has a lot of enthusiasm. He'll help keep the Ghosts going for the long term as us older Ghosts head off to the paintball retirement home - Welcome Grant!

Welcome Aboard the Newest Ghost - Anyillator

The Ghosts continue to grow as we welcome Anyillator into the fold!

Anyillator, aka Austin, just took up paintball as a serious hobby in the last year and has developed into a great player. We first met him in January at Viper's Road Warriors scenario where he impressed everyone with his medic skills. He followed up on his introductory period at Big Game 14 and then the Iwo Jima Big Game where he played medic again.

He plays an aggressive style that compliments our mix of younger & older Ghosts. He also happens to be a great medic/role player and not afraid of jumping into an outmanned battle. Welcome to the team Austin - hope to see you out there again soon!

Welcome Aboard Jester & John! Our Newest Ghosts

The Ghosts are proud to welcome our newest members - Jester & John (who will soon earn his callsign).

We met them first at Road Warriors, camped and played with them all weekend. We got a good vibe about these guys and hoped they would inquire about joining the team - sure enough, they did! These two showed us that they are the same hard working, stand up, honorable type of guys who make up the Ghosts and they understand that sometimes the best times at a game are often back at camp, not necessarily out on the field.

The guys recently moved here to SoCal from Texas where they earned their scenario stripes as regulars at Viper Scenario games. They are now the 6th father son duo to join the team.

Welcome aboard guys - we'll see you at Blood Diamond II at the end of March for your first event as Ghosts!

On January 31st, 2009, two dozen members of the Ghosts and their families turned out for San Diego's Adopt a Beach program. The Ghosts adopted Mission Bay Park & Marina and made it an area to be proud of! See some interesting info about the program from 2008, the year we first adopted a beach:

In 2008, 19,462 volunteers contributed 47,478 hours toward environmental education and conservation projects with I Love A Clean San Diego. These totals break down into the following activities:

*5,315 volunteers participated in the Adopt-A-Beach program countywide.

*581 volunteers stenciled 702 drains within the community.

*14,375 San Diegans volunteered at ILACSD events, removing 556,526 pounds of debris from local beaches, bays, creeks, canyons, and lagoons.

Stay tuned for the date of our next event...

It's a great honor to wrap up 2008 for the Ghosts by welcoming our newest member - Jrobb!

To insure our team is not just about us old guys, Jrobb (aka Jordan) brings us the excitement of youth! He's played with us and even helped us ref at Weekend Wars. He acts like a seasoned player and has great enthusiasm both on and off the field.

Jrobb will be making his Ghosts debut at Viper's Road Warriors I scenario at Giant Alpine in January as we defeat Smart Parts and Pappigallo.

SoCal Ghosts Team Up With Save Phace

The SoCal Ghosts have teamed up with Save Phace, makers of "the world's sickest tactical masks". The Ghosts are very choosy about who we partner with, in fact, other than our favorite store (Paintball Depot, RIP) we have never partnered with a manufacturer, because we could never find a product, UNTIL NOW, that we all believed in and could stand behind.

Here's how Save Phave describes themselves and their products:

"So we are NOT your average Paintball Mask Company! If you are looking for a soft rubbery mask that has a bunch of holes in it and comes with cheap foam you've come to the wrong place...If you are looking for a mask that is designed to fit 96% of the worlds population, has R.W.I Foam, (Replaceable, Washable, Interchangeable-Marks A-Lot and So Phat Series Only), is the worlds first paintable/customizable mask, has sick graphics, adjustable ventilation, has anti fog coatings that are the best in the world, fits over most glasses and sun glasses, weighs 7 oz. AND has a very low profile... u've come to the right place..."

We will be showing off our new masks at the Viper Scenario in January, come check them our firthand and see the latest in mask design!
